07/29/2012 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Communication called that T.P.D. on site with a car through building. Arrived and T.P.D. on site with a vehicle hitting the building in unit 142. The vehicle has been removed and damage was to the door and the front window. The building was a 2-story structure motel. The damage was wood framing and the king stud to the door with the trimmer had been pushed in. Window was intact with the framing and the glass was OK. There was an electrical outlet that was in the wall and it was OK but went with the wall when moved. The bottom plate was OK. The walls had stucco on the exterior with wire and the interior had drywall. The door was not able to lock and the unit was going to be secured by the owner. Did check the upper unit and found no give and had some cracking in the drywall by the door and the owner stated that was there before with all the other units have the same cracks through out. There was a shooting on the property and had other units affected but were not going to be inspected at this time. The owners did show to the site and signed all the paper work. They will secure tomorrow in the morning and will have the contractor look at making the repairs. T.P.D. was still doing the investigation and stated that is all they needed to be done and left the scene. Will Check in 30 days. RV.
