Received a call from communication that T.F.D. on site with a house with health issues and horting that a fire inspector is waiting on site. Arrived and met with the son of the owner and let him know that I would be inspection the house for clear paths to windows and doors. He allowed me access and met the father inside in the living room who the son was watching. The mother had fallen and was transported to the hospital. I did walk the interior of the house and found where the bedrooms are not abe to be used due to items being stored or trash and debris tossed on the floor. The Toilets are not working due to a break in the water line. Has electrical in the carport that was enclosed where the electrical has been added and has splices that have not been placed in a junction box. Has the splices in several areas and have wire nuts. The son stated that the electrical will be removed so the repairs don't have to be done. The horting is at a border line of being shut down and gave the son paper work of N.O.V. for the clear paths to the windows and doors that the areas that going to be used. The toilets need to be working in order to stay in the house. This property has other issues that need to be checked or addressed for compliance. Will check the property tomorrow for the clearing of the pathways to doors and windows and the toilets working. They will need to repair the water line to get the toilets working. If the work that is being required is not completed, the occupants will need to be removed as stated on the N.O.V. Will check the property at 4:00 PM on 7-28-12. RV. |
