Received a call from communication that T.F.D. on site with a car through the building and hitting a gas line. Arrived and all the fire units have cleared and T.P.D. on site. S.W.G. arrived at the same time and were taken to where the gas line was hit. The gas meter was hit and pushed into the building and breaking the regulator and snapping the gas line that fed the meter. The shut off valve was turned off and tech was going to call the supervisor and the construction crew to the site. There was no damage to the building but the gas was off to unit 407. The gas was to the water heater and stove. 403 was vacant and the tenant in 407 were leaving the property to run errands. Let them know that the gas should be back on some time this evening and they said OK. S.W.G. was going to address the damage to the property. S.W.G. will call me back if a permit is required. They were going to put a meter on and do the line test to check if the permit will be required. I did no paperwork and received a business card of the property manager who hit the meter while checking the unit in front and putting a lock box. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV. |
