07/09/2012 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved EMERGENCY CALL OUT BY TFD, I ARRIVED ON SITE AND MET WITH TFD, THEY STATE THAT THE OWNER SAW ARCING IN THE SUB PANEL LOCATED IN THE INTERIOR OF THE MOBILE HOME. TFD DID SHUT THE POWER OFF AT THE SUB PANEL THERE WAS NO FIRE DAMAGE TO THE UNIT. THE OWNER EXPLAINED TO ME THAT SHE HAD A USED A/C UNIT INSTALLED WITHOUT A PERMIT TWO WEEK AGO, SHE SAID THAT EARLIER THE A/C UNIT HAD STOP WORKING SO SHE CALLED THE A/C CONTRACTOR. THE CONTRACTOR CAME OVER AND CHANGE THE A/C BREAKER LOCATION TO THE DRYER LOCATION ON THE SUB PANEL. THE CONTRACTOR TOLD THE OWNER YOU DON'T HAVE A DRYER BUT THE A/C WORKS NOW.
I DID NOTICE THE WRONG A/C BREAKER TYPE FOR THE SUB PANEL. THE BREAKER IS IN CONFLICT WITH THE DEAD FRONT. AT THIS TIME I ADVISED THE OWNER I WOULD CONDEMN THE UNIT DUE TO UNSAFE ELECTRICAL AND THE SYSTEM WOULD HAVE TO REMAIN OFF. SHE CALLED MR ELECTRIC CO. JIM PITTS 520 954-3918 ARRIVED LATER AND TOLD ME THE SUB PANEL WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED, HE PROVIDED ME WITH AN ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIR.
THE OWNER CAN NOT AFFORD THE REPAIR.

PERMIT IS REQUIRED FOR THE ELECTRICAL REPAIR. THE DWELLING WAS POSTED UNFIT TO OCCUPY. AN ORDER TO VACATE WAS ISSUED AND SIGNED BY THE OWNER JULIANA GUZMAN.
