This property was getting water from 3128 N. Geronimo Ave. The owner of 3128 has a valve to water being supplied to 3126 and that was turned off leaving 3126 with no water. Did meet with Tucson Water at the site and on 6-4-12 a meter was turned on thinking it was for 3126. The meter that was turned on was for 3124 N. Geronimo Ave which is vacant and has a broken water line in the rear of the house. Tucson Water was on site to turn off the meter for 3124 due to the wrong meter was turned on for 3126. The owner of 3128 came out with a paper that wrote that when the property for 3126 was being sold, that the water meter was an issue and needed to check on getting it's own water meter for 3126. The owner of 3126 did check on the price of the meter and it was $4200.00 to have the meter installed to the property and that was only getting the water to the street area. Once the meter was going to be installed the owner will have to get the water to the house from the meter, which is in the middle of these 3-homes. Tucson water did turn off the meter for 3124 and installed a red tag and left the site. The owner of 3126 was advised to meet with Tucson water at the main office to check on what can be done to get the water back on to 3126 while arrangements are made or a meter installed for 3126. I did meet with Rick Saldate to go over what happened on the property and a N.O.V. will be done once the results have been given to Richard Diaz. The property on 3126 did have water bottles inside the house and was cleaned. Today went to the property looking for the owner of 3126 and the property at 3128 has No Trespassing signs posted on the carport area and the rear fence area. The owner for 3126 is digging the rear yard of his property looking for the water line to 3128, which is going through the property of 3126. He is in the process of cutting the water line that supplies water to 3128. If this water line is cut, than 3128 will no longer have water. There will be 2-properties with no water that are occupied. T.P.D. was on site on 6-5-12 and sure they will be back as soon as the water line is cut. The owner of 3126 stated that he has owned the property for about four months and said that he has been paying part of the water bill. |
