MANAGER KATHERINE TRIMM MENTIONED THAT THE NOV PROBABLY NEED TO GO TO THE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION DUE TO THE WORK BEING COMPLETED AS APARTMENTS NOW TURNED CONDOS.
MY FINDINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS: UPON ARRIVAL I FOUND FACIA REMOVED FROM THE PORCH/PATIO EXPOSING THE RAFTERS AND DECKING. AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE PORCH/PATIO I FOUND A SMALL BURN MARK APPROX 1FT X 1FT, CASED BY A CIGARETTE FALLING INTO A CRACK OF THE DECKING. MY BIGGER CONCERN DUE TO THE FIRE BEING SO SMALL AND EXTINGUISHED, WAS THE DETERIORATED CONDITION OF THE PORCH RAFTERS, FACIA, AND 3/4" DECKING WITH LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE ON TOP OF THE DECKING. SEVERAL RAFTERS APPEARED VERY ROTTED, THE FACIA WAS COVERED WITH METAL, PROBABLY TO DETER FURTHER DETERIORATION AND WAS NOW PARTIALLY REMOVED BY TFD AND ROTTED FLOOR JOISTS WERE BEARING POINTS FOR THE ROOF STRUCTURE ABOVE. THE CONCERN WAS EXPLAINED TO KATHERINE TRIMM AND SHE ASKED THE NOV BE ISSUED TO THE ASSOCIATION. NOV WAS ISSUED AND SIGNED FOR BY KATHERINE TRIMM.
