01/09/2012 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved CITY COMM, TPD REQUEST FOR INSPECTOR/ CAR INTO BUILDING. ARRIVED ON SITE MET WITH TPD OFFICERS. FOUND A SILVER BUICK REGAL HAD TAKEN OUT (3) LARGE BEARING PILLARS APPROX 2 FT IN DIAMETER. PILLARS WERE CONSTRUCTED OF BRICK AND MASONRY, APPROX 9 FT TALL. TWO, 8" X 10" X 12' BEAMS DROPPED FROM THE RAFTERS THEY WERE SUPPORTING AND FELL TO THE GROUND ALONG WITH THE 5 FT LONG CORBELS BENEATH THEM. RAFTERS WERE 4" X 6" X 12' IN LENGTH, AND 16 INCHES ON CENTER. RAFTERS REMAINED IN PLACE BUT DROPPED 5-6 INCHES. APPROX. 24 FEET OF RAFTER AND ROOF SPACE WAS LEFT UNSUPPORTED. GARY'S TOWING REMOVED CAR FRO THE PORCH, BATHCREST WAS CONTACTED TO SHORE THE RAFTERS BUT MENTIONED JOB WAS TOO BIG AND DID NOT HAVE CORRECT MATERIALS. SPOKE WITH OWNER ABOUT THE SHORING, THEN CONTACTED BETTERWAY SERVICES WHO EVENTUALLY CAME OUT TO SHORE THE PORCH. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO TH EINTERIOR OF THE STRUCTURE. BOARDING WAS NOT REQUIRED. THERE WAS SOME CONDUIT AND LIGHT BOXES DISPLACED BUT NOT A HAZARD. ELECTRIC WAS SHUT OFF TO THE LIGHTS AND SWITCHES TAPED IN THE OFF POSITION. NOV AND INDEMNIFICATION WERE ISSUED. OWNER PAUL BABLOVE SIGNED FOR PAPERWORK.
