11/04/2011 | INSP - REINSPECTION | Correction Required | Received an e-mail from Mr. Ryan Weiss attached was the repair order from Kazal showing all repairs that were made by them. I sent e-mail back asking if they had a annual sprinkler inspection and 5 year check valve inspection done. Mr. Weiss sent to me copy of the same report showing repairs made, I sent him a copy of a annual sprinkler report and 5 year check valve, Mr. Weiss called me and stated they have nothing like that, I did tell him that he did have A-AAA come out and do a annual inspection but I have not received any reports as of today. Mr. Weiss stated he will be getting back to A-AAA about the reports. | |
11/03/2011 | INSP - REINSPECTION | Correction Required | Called by manager of store stating that Kazal is on property changing out piping and correcting coverage in warehouse area, I stopped by and talked to Kazal person stated that no mud in system only the bad pipe on riser and main control valve are being re-placed. Also Kazal called in there permit for adding sprinklers in warehouse and sales floor correcting the sprinkler coverage. | |
10/25/2011 | INSP - REINSPECTION | Correction Required | Did not receive any reports for the sprinkler or 5 year check valve. I did received verbal answers on why I have not received a sprinkler inspection report or a 5 year report, according to the sprinkler company they were told by the cooperation not to give the fire department the report they had question about there findings. I did ask what they found: 1. Bottom half of riser leaking need to replaces pipe. 2. Sprinkler coverage in warehouse needs corrections heads spaced at 150 sq not 130 sq. 3. When the 2" drain for the flow test was done they noticed mud coming out of the drain - will need to replace supply line to sprinkler system. According to the manager she stated that the city water department will be coming out to replace the piping. Note: Will need the fire inspector on site when underground line is replaced and flushing is done. Will need a permit and approved plan before any sprinkler work is done. A hand written field notice was given requiring all repairs to be done. Still need annual sprinkler and 5 year check valve reports. |
