| 04/14/2011 | INSP - FULL | Violation | 2006 IFC 305.1 Clearance from flame producing devices and combustible materials shall be maintained in an approved manner. There was significant scorching of the wall and communication wires that are in close proximity to the gas burners. CORRECTION: You will have a permanently placed piece of stainless steel sheeting between the combustible wall and the gas burners of the food warming table. Do not allow phone cords or wires to hang below the level of the food warmer top. 2006 IFC 605.4 and 605.5 Multiplug adapters not complying with the International Electric Code shall be prohibited. Extension cords shall not be used as permanent wiring. There are several extension cords in use and a fuse adapter with two piggy backed extension cords attached to the food warmer. CORRECTION: You will remove the unapproved adapters and extension cords. You may use fused power strips that are UL listed and have oversurge protection. 2006 IFC 703.1The required fire resistance rating of fire resistive rated construction shall be maintained. You have a misplaced or lost ceiling tile near your stairs. CORRECTION: You shall replace the missing tile. 2006 IFC 904.11.6.3 Hoods, grease removal devices, fans, duct, and other appurtenances shall be cleaned at intervals necessary to prevent the accumulation of grease. There is a large build up of grease inside the fan turbines on your roof. CORRECTION: You shall have your hood systems cleaned from filter to roof top and provide a copy of the receipt for the fire marshal. 2006 IFC 904.11.6.4 Certificates of inspection shall be fowarded to the fire code official upon completion. CORRECTION: You will provide the fire marshall a copy of the last inspection report upon reinspection. 2006 IFC1006.1 The means of egress shall be illuminated at all times. Your emergency lighting is missing a bulb and one is continually activated. Emergency lighting should come on when the power to the lights are cut. CORRECTION: You will have your emergency lighting serviced and repaired as necessary. Your lights will operate correctly when tested on reinspection. 2006 IFC 1011.4 Internally illuminated exit signs shall be illuminated at all times. Your signs in kitchen and at SW most exit are burnt out. Your exit sign in lobby area does not operate when back up battery supply is tested. CORRECTION: You shall cause your signs to operate appropriatly. 2006 IFC 3003.5.3 Compressed gas cylinders and tanks shall be secured to prevent falling caused by contact, vibration, or seismic activity. CORRECTION: You will secure all gas cylinders, full or empty. |
