Except as specifically permitted by this section egress doors shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. Security bolt on rear door: To ensure that there is no confusion on the required exiting from the building the following must be completed: 1. A sign stating "NOT AN EXIT" affixed to the interior side of the door. The sign shall consist of letters having a principal stroke of not less than 0.75 inch wide and at least 6 inches high on a contrasting background. 2. A sign stating "THIS DOOR BLOCKED" affixed to the exterior side of the door. The sign shall consist of letters having a principal stroke of not less than 0.75 inch wide and at least 6 inches high on a contrasting background. |
