AREA AROUND WATER METER AND SIDEWALK HAD STAKES AND ROPE TO KEEP PEOPLE FROM WALKING INTO THE SIDEWALK TRENCH. SPOKE TO NEIGHBOR JIM PAYNE, WHO MENTIONED OWNER'S WIFE RECENTLY PASSED AWAY (4 MONTHS AGO), HIS WATER LINE BROKE AND ALSO A/C UNIT WENT OUTON MR BERNAL. OWNER HAS (2) CHILDREN. MR PAYNE ALSO MENTIONED THAT AT LEAST (8) OTHER NEIGHBORS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME PLUMBING PROBLEM THAT MR BERNAL IS EXPERIENCING RIGHT NOW DUE TO WATER LINES UNDER THE CONCRETE DRIVEWAY NEVER BEING SLEEVED IN PVC PIPE. TRIED CONTACTING THE OWNER BY PHONE, LINE HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED. LEFT LETTER ON THE DOOR ASKING OWNER TO PLEASE CONTACT.
** RECEIVED CALL FROM MR BERNAL 8/09/11 WHO MENTIONED HE WORKS FOR THE STATE, WIFE DID PASS AWAY, WATER LINE BROKE, AND A/C HAS GONE OUT. HE FIXED A/C ($2000.00) AND ALREADY HAS $1500.00 INTO THE WATER LINE, PLANS ON COMPLETING THE REPAIRS THIS WEEK END. HE DID FILL IN THE SIDEWALK TRENCH.
* SPOKE WITH CARLOS, THEN TRACY, EXPLAINED THE CIRCUMSTANCES, TRACY OK'ED GIVING THE OWNER TIME TO COMPLETE THE REPAIRS.
