06/23/2011 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved EMERGENCY FIRE CALL; ON SITE INSPECTION RESULTS, FIRE DAMAGE TO THE KITCHEN AREA. THE WALL CAVITY REAR OF THE STOVE HAS BURNT AND BARE CONDUCTORS WHICH POWERED THE EXHAUST FAN ABOVE THE STOVE. THE 220V CABLE TO THE STOVE AND THE WALL RECEPTACLE ARE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY POSSIBLE HEAT DAMAGE. THE DRYWALL IN THIS AREA WAS DAMAGED ESTIMATE OVER 100 SQ FEET. THERE IS SMOKE DAMAGE TO THE INTERIOR OF THE UNIT. THE UNIT #1313 WAS CONDEMNED DUE TO FIRE DAMAGE AND LACK OF POWER.
THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS PRIVATE (NOT TEP EQUIPMENT)
POWER WAS SHUT OFF AT THE INTERIOR PANEL OF THE UNIT AND THE BUILDINGS MAIN DISCONNECT. PERMITS ARE REQUIRED FOR REPAIRS.

UNITS 1309, 1310, 1311, 1319 AND 1320 WERE ALSO EFFECTED WITH NO POWER TO THE UNITS WITH INTERIOR PANEL ON AND MAIN DISCONNECT ON. THE COMPLEX MUST HAVE EITHER A SWITCH GEAR OR TRANSFORMER AND MUST HAVE TRIP OFF. THE ON SITE MANAGER AND MAINTENANCE PERSONAL DID NOT KNOW THE SYSTEM CONFIGURATION. I ORDER TO HAVE THE INTERIOR PANELS AND THE MAIN BREAKER SHUT OFF AS A PRECAUTION. I ADVISED THE MANAGER TO HAVE A LICENSE CONTRACTOR INVESTIGATE THE CONFIGURATION. I ALSO ADVISED TO ALERT ME ONCE WORK HAS BEEN DONE.

SCHEDULE A 60 DAY FOLLOW UP INSPECTION WITH AREA INSPECTOR.
