08/08/2012 FIRE - FINAL Continued Fire Code Official and Fire Code Administrator visited the site. The applicant for the appeal stated that the door would be locked in the open position during times of occupancy by staff or the public. This door was not locked in the open position and the employees did not have a method available to lock the door in the open position. In addition, hardware had been added to the double doors that Inspector Schultz states did not exist at the time of his inspection. The Fire Code Administrator will contact the applicant of the appeal to discuss the stipulations of the appeal.
07/31/2012 FIRE - FINAL Denied 1.) Waiting for appeal to be approved need cut sheets for roll up door if approved then Temp C of O okay for basement and 1st floor only to use. Final will be given when 2nd floor is finished.
2.) All exterior doors that are nonfunctional shall be label on the outside with the following wording "THIS DOOR BLOCKED" stroke not less than ¾" wide and at least 6" inch high on a contrasting background IFC 504.2.
