EXPLANATION OF WHY CONFORMANCE WITH THE ABOVE REQUIREMENT PRESENTS AN UNUSUAL PROBLEM: La Frontera will not be able to meet the City of Tucson's Fire Code requirement of R-4 facilities being equipped with a fire sprinkler system by 10/22/10. This has been delayed as a result of the purchase/ development of the Circle K property just north of the Sonoran House property. STATE SPECIFICALLY WHAT IS PROPOSED IN LIEU OF LITERAL COMPLIANCE: We are respectfully requesting an extension of one year to complete the installation of the fire sprinkler system. DECISION OF THE FIRE CODE OFFICIAL: Approved with stipulations by Chief Dan Uthe Fire Marshal- See below: STIPULATIONS: A six (6) month extension with the following stipulations: 1. Sprinkler plans shall be submitted for review and a permit obtained by February 5, 2011. 2. The installation of the automatic fire sprinkler system shall be completely by May 5, 2011. |
