04/15/2010 | COMPL - REINSPECTION | Violation | On 4-8-10, a fire prevention inspection was conducted at 3342 East 26th. On 4-15-10, a re-inspection was conducted and the following. International Fire Code 2006 Violation(s) was noted: 1). Weeds, grass and dried vines shall be cut, and removed from property. IFC 304.1.2 2) Remove all plastics, cardboard, wood and all accumulation of combustible rubbish from property and dispose of properly. IFC 304.1.1 Enclosed are the fire code requirements for Welding and other Hot Work activities. In particular please be advised of the following requirements for welding and hot work activities within the City of Tucson: 2604.1.1 Combustibles. Hot work areas shall not contain combustibles or shall be provided with appropriate shielding to prevent sparks, slag or heat from igniting exposed combustibles. 2604.2.6 Fire extinguisher. A minimum of one portable fire extinguisher complying with Section 906 and with a minimum 2-A:20-B:C rating shall be readily accessible within 30 feet (9144 mm) of the location where hot work is performed. This letter is to inform you that abatement of these Tucson Fire Code violations must be completed by 1:30 pm, April 22, 2010. A re-inspection shall be conducted at that time to ensure compliance. |
