04/12/2011 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Met APS caseworker Gretchen Sutton, owner (June Keith), and owner's 5 adult children on property. Performed inspection of interior and exterior. Of the previous violations that were originally cited (refuse and storage in carport, refuse in alley, obstructing alley with vehicle), only the vehicle was removed from the alley. Interior inspection showed an accumulation of storage in rooms, but it wasn't obstructing egress at time of inspection. Elderly owner lives in house with daughter. Two bathrooms, one functioning; the other is in process of remodel. Rear bedroom also in process of remodel. Occupants have bedrooms. House is lacking smoke detectors. A portion of the roof is dilapidated (portions are unweatherized wood only) and is covered with tarps. Signs of possible rodent infestation present. Rear structure and/or shed is being occupied by son and girlfriend with no utilities. Mother and sister verify this, but son denies. Structure was posted with notice to vacate. Refuse remains in alley and carport. Owner and children were advised of what needed abatement, in particular the repair of the roof. Notice will be reissued for all violations, including ones on citation (hearing has not been set).
01/13/2011 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved No compliance and is worse than last inspection. Storage and blue tarp are still present in carport. Refuse present in driveway, carport, and alley. Beige van in alley, parked. RV in front; suspect someone may be occupying the RV and/or van, but the vehicles are not hooked to utilities at the present time. Heavy odor of human urine in the front by the RV and front yard.
12/02/2010 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Shed has been moved, meeting standard setbacks. Storage is still present in the carport with blue tarp. Most of the refuse in alley has been removed. No trailers or other living units in the yard or alley at time of inspection. Spoke to owner's son, gave extension to finish storage removal from carport; reinspection fee will be assessed.
