Inspector Richard Vidal: Inspector attempted to conduct inspection for open pool. Person who identified themselves as the owner stopped Inspector at driveway area to inquire as to his idenity. Inspector then identified himself explained the alleged violation and pointed to open yard gate which above ground pool was visible. Owner ordered Inspector off property and stated there was no violations and that he has the ladder to the pool removed. Inspector then exited property and met with immediate supervisor. Supervisor Rick Saldate: Discussed situation with owner answered questions and owner agreed to submit details of complaint in writing. Reviewed case with Inspector Supervisor determined case to be closed due to no violation encountered considering limited view and inability to access yard. Inspector communicated that there is a peremeter fence around rear yard, above ground pool side walls act as required barrier, no ladder visible from Insepector's view and owner communicated ladder removed. All requirements under IRC Appendix G met regarding pools. |
