01/18/2010 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved RECEIVED CALL FROM JAVIER ENRIQUEZ WHO MENTIONED HE WAS WANTING TO GO INTO THE UNIT TO MAKE REPAIRS TO THE ELECTRICAL AND BOX AND BAG TENANTS PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND THEN CLEAN THE APARTMENT. JAVIER ASKED I COME TO REMOVE THE BOARDS, I GAVE JAVIER THE OK TO REMOVE THE BOARD FROM THE FRONT DOOR BUT ALSO EXPLAINED THE UNIT HAD TO BE SECURED AT ALL TIMES AND BOARDS REPLACED UNTIL ANY DAMAGED WINDOWS AND FRONT DOOR COULD BE FIXED. JAVIER MENTIONED HE WOULD KEEP UNIT SECURED AT ALL TIMES. JAVIER ALSO MENTIONED TEMANT MAY BE RETURNING BUT WOULD BE PUT UP IN A DIFFERENT UNIT.
01/13/2010 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved VISITED SITE, MET WITH TPD OFFICER POPE WHO MENTIONED THEY WERE CALLED TO THE PROPERTY THE DAY BEFORE. TENANT IN UNIT # 11 WAS FOUND MENTALLY UNSTABLE AND TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL. PICTURES WERE TAKEN BY TPD OF THE INTERIOR OF THE PROPERTY AND PROVIDED TO HCD INSPECTOR FOR HAZARDOUS ELECTRICAL AND UNSANITARY LIVING CONDITIONS. WALKED THE EXTERIOR OF THE UNIT, FOUND ELECTRICAL WAS PROBABLY ON A MASTER METER SYSTEM AS EACH UNIT WAS PROVIDED WITH A EXTERIOR PANEL BUT HAD NO METERS CONNECTED TO THE SERVICE PANELS. SPOKE TO ONSITE PERSON MARCUS LEAL WHO MENTIONED HIS STEP FATHER OWNED THE PROPERTY (SOTERO ENRIQUEZ) BUT LIVES IN CHULA VISTA CA. MANAGER JAVIER IS IN SAN DIEGO AT THIS TIME WILL RETURN 1/17/2009. TPD HAD FRONT DOOR AND REAR WINDOW BOARDED TO SECURE THE PROPERTY, HOWEVER FRONT WINDOW DID NOT HAVE CRANK OR LOCKING MECHANISM AND COULD BE ENTERED. SPOKE WITH CARLOS PORTILLO WHO GAVE THE OK TO HAVE HCD BOARD UP CREW SECURE THE FRONT WINDOW. PROPERTY WAS POSTED WITH EMERGENCY ORDER TO VACATE. ONSITE PERSON MARCUS LEAL WAS NOTIFIED AND SIGNED FOR NOV AND INDEMNIFICATION PAPERWORK. ASKED MARCUS TO HAVE MANAGER JAVIER ENRIQQUEZ MAKE CONTACT SO THAT ELECTRICAL ISSUES AND INTERIOR CONDITIONS COULD BE ABATED.
01/12/2010 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved SPOKE TO OWNER WHO LIVES IN CALIFORNIA HE STATED THE TENANT IS A METAL ISSUE AND THE CITY OF TUCSON PAYS FOR HIS CARE THROUGH A PROGRAM CALLED HOME. THE OWNER STATED HE WOULD HAVE NIGHT MANAGER MAKE ALL REPAIRS TO THE INTERIOR OF THE UNIT AND AFTER REPAIRS ARE COMPLETED HE WOULD CONTACT ME FOR AN INSPECTION. I AGREED AND CALLED TPD TO ADVISE OF SITUATION.
