Houghton Tucson, AZ Dear Sir or Madam, The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business on 11-17-2009. Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code with modifications. A Re-inspection will be performed on or about December 2nd 2009. 605.5 Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. " Remove the extension cords on the ice cream machine 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. " Fire extinguishers shall be inspected annually 1006.3 Illumination emergency power. The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises' electrical supply. The emergency power system shall provide power for a duration of not less than 90 minutes and shall consist of storage batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator. The installation of the emergency power system shall be in accordance with Section 2702 of the International Building Code. 1028.8 Panic Hardware. Where panic and fire exit hardware is installed, the panic or fire exit hardware shall be the only locking device on the door except where otherwise permitted in this code.
