This does not apply to storage against wall.
Against-wall storage may not project more than 12" into room (or it must be 18" down).
Clearance around and below sprinkler heads must be 18" whether against wall of not.
No area may be enclosed without adding sprinklers.
The area may be secured by fencing/caging material.
Fencing/caging material must be 75% open to allow sprinkler coverage.
Framing may not excessively disrupt spray pattern.
