Broadway Bl Tucson, AZ. 85730 Dear Mr. Robinson The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business on October 7, 2009. Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). A Re-inspection will be performed on or about October 21, 2009 Notice of Violations: ____ 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Non-required fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. -Service fire extinguishers _____ 906.7 Hangers and brackets. Hand-held portable fire extinguishers, not housed in cabinets, shall be installed on the hangers or brackets supplied _____ 1027.3 Illumination required. The means of egress, shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied. Illuminate, in an approved manner, all exits required by the Building Official ยท Rear exit (South) _____ 1028.8 Panic Hardware. Where panic hardware is installed, the panic or fire exit hardware shall be the only locking device on the door except where otherwise permitted by the code. -The rear exit currently has both panic hardware and a thumb latch device _____ 1008.1.9 #2 Exit doors provided with panic hardware shall be operable form the egress side when less than 15 pound of force is applied. -Rear exit _____ 1008.1.4.4 Manually operated flush bolts or surface bolts are not permitted on exit doors. -Currently the West side door has a slide bolt with a pin in it.
