The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises' electrical supply. In the event of power supply failure, illumination shall be automatically provided from an emergency system for the following occupancies where such occupancies require two or more means of egress: all Emergency lighting shall be functional and properly maintained in conjunction with IFC section 1027. _____ Fix, repair, and/or replace the emergency lighting in order to meet code standards 1011.1 Where required An approved exit sign shall mark exits and exit access doors and be readily visible from any direction of egress travel. Access to exits shall be marked by readily visible exit signs, in cases where the exit or the path of egress travel is not immediately visible to the occupants. _____Place exit sign over patio gate. 1027.3 Exit sign illumination. Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated. The face of an exit sign illuminated from an external source shall have an intensity of not less than 5 foot-candles (54 lux).
