EXPLANATION OF WHY CONFORMANCE WITH THE ABOVE REQUIREMENT PRESENTS AN UNUSUAL PROBLEM: Allowing the door to be openable from the egress side without the use of a key presents security problems.

STATE SPECIFICALLY WHAT IS PROPOSED IN LIEU OF LITERAL COMPLIANCE: Door would be designated as not part of the means of egress, locks would remain on the door. The door would not have a exit sign marking it as an exit. An exit signed would be installed at the southeast stockroom door leading to the sales floor on the stockroom side.
