08/07/2009 INSP - FULL Violation The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business . Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications).

1.__Problem: There is a missing ceiling tile in the doctor's office.
TFC 703.1 Maintenance. The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction shall be maintained. CORRECTION: You will replace the missing celing tile.

2.__Problem: There are two calendars posted over the electric panels and blocking them from view/access.
Problem: IFC 605.3Working space and clearance. A working space of not less than 30 inches (762 mm) in width, 36 inches (914 mm) in depth and 78 inches (1981 mm) in height shall be provided in front of electrical service equipment.
CORRECTION: You will remove the calendars and maintain the required clearance.

3.__Problem: There is no chain or other device securing your main riser valve ( located on the exterior of the building) in the open position.
TFC 905.9 For Wet stand pipes - Valves controlling water supplies shall be supervised in the open position.
CORRECTION: You will place a chain around your valve and riser to prevent it from being turned and closed.

4.__Problem: There is a flammable gas indication on the NFPA diamond on your closet containing oxidizers ( nitrous oxide and oxygen).
TFC 2703.5 Hazard identification signs. Unless otherwise exempted by the fire code official, visible hazard identification signs as specified in NFPA 704 for the specific material contained shall be placed on stationary containers and above-ground tanks and at entrances to locations where hazardous materials are stored, dispensed, used or handled in quantities requiring a permit and at specific entrances and locations designated by the fire code official.

TFC 2703.5.1 Markings. Individual containers, cartons or packages shall be conspicuously marked or labeled in an approved manner. Rooms or cabinets containing compressed gases shall be conspicuously labeled: COMPRESSED GAS.
CORRECTION: You will place a sign on the maintainance closet door that states COMPRESSED GAS. You will change the NFPA diamond on the compressed gas closet door so that the correct hazard classification is on it ( Ox in the white special hazard portion).
