05/28/2009 INSP - FULL Violation The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business . Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications).

1.__Problem: Extinguishers were last inspected in OCTOBER of 2006.
TFC: Portable fire extinguishers shall be maintained in accordance with NFPA 10.
CORRECTION: You will have your fire extinguishers serviced each year and keep a record of such.

2.__Problem: There is a portable fire extinguisher on the ground in the stock room.
TFC: 906.7 Fire extinguishers shall be installed on hangers or brackets that are mounted securely to the wall.
CORRECTION: You will have your extinguisehr mounted in a consipicuous and unobstructed place.

3.__Problem: Two electrical panels in your stock room are blocked by carts and stock items.
TFC: 605.3 A working space of not less than 30 inches (762 mm) in width, 36 inches (914 mm) in depth and 78 inches (1981 mm) in height shall be provided in front of electrical service equipment.
CORRECTION: You will provide this clearance around your electrical panels.

4.__Problem: Your helium tanks in the stock room and behind your sales counter are not secured.
TFC: 3003.5.3 Securing compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks. Compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks shall be secured to prevent falling caused by contact, vibration or seismic activity.
CORRECTION: You will secure all helium and other compressed gas tanks and cylinders to a secure object or wall.

5.__Problem: There are two extension cords that are powering a power strip that supplies power to your stereo in the Left front corner of your store.
TFC: 605.5 cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact.
CORRECTION: You will remove the extension cords and provide a permanent power supply ( ie install an outlet) or move the stereo to a place with a permanent power source within in reach.
