05/27/2009 | INSP - FULL | Violation | There was a fire at this property activating the sprinkler system. The sprinkler system is in service with pressure in branch lines. An appointment was made at June 3rd at 1000 am for a fire inspection. The following Tucson Fire Code Violation(s) was noted: 1). All components of the sprinkler system shall be labeled. (i.e. Fire Department connection shall be labeled FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTION, outside alarms shall be labeled ALARM and be seen fire street.). 912.4 Signs. A metal sign with raised letters at least 1 inch (25mm) in size shall be mounted on all fire department connections serving automatic sprinklers, standpipes or fire pump connections. Such signs shall read: AUTOMATIC SPRINKLERS or STANDPIPES or TEST CONNECTION or a combination thereof as applicable. 2). Unblock all doors inside building. IFC 1028.5 This letter is to inform you that abatement of these Tucson Fire Code violations must be completed by 6-3-09. A re-inspection shall be conducted at that time to ensure compliance.
