| 05/21/2009 | INSP - FULL | Violation | The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business . Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). 1.__Problem: Your exit signs are not lit ( over rear exit, and front exits. TFC 1011.4 Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times. CORRECTION: You will cause your exit signs to be lit. 2.__Problem: Your fire extinguisher in the East stock room is blocked by boxes and carts. TFC 906.6 Unobstructed and unobscured. Portable fire extinguishers shall not be obstructed or obscured from view. CORRECTION: You will keep the access to your extinguishers free of obstacles. 3.__Problem: There are open wires in an open junction box in your mop/hot water heater closet. TFC 605.6 Unapproved conditions. Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes. CORRECTION: You will cap the wires and place a cover over your J box. ( This is an immediate hazard and will be ebated in 24 hours.) 4.__Problem: There are missing ceiling tiles and breaks in your fire resistant barrier. TFC 703.1 Maintenance. The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction shall be maintained. CORRECTION: You will replace missing ceiling tiles in the mop closet, hold room, and cash office. Holes for communications wires will be filled with fire resistant foam. 5.__Problem: Access to your electrical panels in room under stairwell is blocked. TFC 605.3Working space and clearance. A working space of not less than 30 inches (762 mm) in width, 36 inches (914 mm) in depth and 78 inches (1981 mm) in height shall be provided in front of electrical service equipment. CORRECTION: You will provide a clear access to electrical panels everywhere.
