| 05/14/2009 | INSP - FULL | Violation | The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business . Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). 1.__Problem: Your exit sign over your West most front entrance is not switching to battery back up power to light it. TFC 1011.4 - Exits signs shall be illuminated at all times. CORRECTION: You will cause your exit sign to operate properly on back up batter power as well as the current AC. You may need to replace the battery or insure it was properly installed. 2.__Problem: Your 'Open' sign and 'sleep number' sign are connected to wires that are stapeled to your wall and strung through your ceiling tiles to a power source. TFC 605.5 Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. CORRECTION: You will remove wires through ceiling tiles and staples to wall. Provide a permanent power supply. 3.__Problem: There are two ceilng tiles missing over rear stock room exit. TFC 703.1 Maintenance. The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction shall be maintained. CORRECTION: You will replace missing ceiling tiles. 4.__Problem: Your extension cord behind diagnostic display has a multiplug extension cord connected to a plug that does not match. The ground has been left exposed. TFC 605.1 Identified electrical hazards shall be ebated. CORRRECTION: IMMEDIATELY remove the plug with exposed ground from being used. Remove extension cord.
