04/08/2009 | INSP - FULL | Violation | INSPECTION: The Tucson Fire Department has conducted fire safety -inspection of your unit #3102. Below are some violations of the Tucson Fire Code ( 2006 International Fire Code with modifications) that shall be corrected in order to come into compliance and eliminate fire hazard.. ___1.PROBLEM: The combustible boxed storage in your unit is too close to an ignition source, too close to the ceiling, and not orderly. TFC REFERENCE: 315.2 Storage of combustible materials in buildings shall be orderly. Storage shall be separated from heaters or heating devices by distance or shielding so that ignition cannot occur. TFC REFERENCE 315.2.1 Ceiling clearance. Storage shall be maintained 2 feet or more below the ceiling in nonsprinkled areas of buildings. REQUIRED CORRECTION: You provide separation of piles of combustible storage from a heat source and outlets. You will keep all storage 2 feet below the ceiling level. You will provide orderly storage so that it does not fall into the exit path. 1) in your living room, 2)near the balcony door ( piled to the ceiling), 3) in dining area ( up against stove), and 4) in your bedroom against the walls and outlets. |
