04/02/2009 | COMPL - INITIAL INSPECTION | Approved | On 4-1-09, a fire prevention inspection was conducted at 4211 East 22nd, in regard to the BBQ grill in front of the store. This grill must be removed from its current location due to fire code violations, which include. The following Tucson Fire Code Violation(s) was noted: IFC 308.3.1 Open-flame cooking devices. Charcoal burners and other open-flame cooking devices shall not be operated on combustible balconies or within 10 feet (3048 mm) of combustible construction. Exceptions: 1. One- and two-family dwellings. 2. Where buildings, balconies and decks are protected by an automatic sprinkler system. 1028.2 Reliability. Required exit accesses, exits or exit discharges shall be continuously maintained free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency when the areas served by such exits are occupied. Security devices affecting means of egress shall be subject to approval of the fire code official. The grill is to close to the building and shall be removed from the stairs. This letter is to inform you that abatement of these Tucson Fire Code violations must be completed immediately. A re-inspection shall be conducted at that time to ensure compliance. |
