| 10/02/2008 | INSP - AST | Correction Required | FIRE INSPECTION REPORT 10/02/2008 Gas Co 5465 E Broadway Blvd. Dear Sir or Madam, The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business on October 2, 2008. Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code with modifications. A Re-inspection will be performed on or about October 30th, 2008. 2207.3 Attendants. Motor fuel-dispensing operations for LP-gas shall be conducted by qualified attendants or in accordance with Section 2207.6 by persons trained in the proper handling of LP-gas. - Ensure all employees' that dispense propane are properly trained. 3808.2 Portable fire extinguishers. Portable fire extinguishers complying with Section 906 shall be provided as specified in NFPA 58 - A fire extinguisher with a 2A20BC rating shall be installed and inspected annually 2207.5.2 Hoses. Hoses and piping for the dispensing of LP-gas shall be provided with hydrostatic relief valves. The hose length shall not exceed 18 feet (5486 mm). An approved method shall be provided to protect the hose against mechanical damage. - The hose must remain inside the vehicle-protected area. Replace the cracked and damaged portions of the dispenser hose. 2206.4 Physical protection. Guard posts complying with Section 312 or other approved means shall be provided to protect above-ground tanks against impact by a motor vehicle. 312.2 Posts. Guard posts shall comply with all of the following requirements: 1. Constructed of steel not less than 4 inches (102 mm) in diameter and concrete filled. 2. Spaced not more than 4 feet (1219 mm) between posts on center. 3. Set not less than 3 feet (914 mm) deep in a concrete footing of not less than a 15-inch (381 mm) diameter. 4. Set with the top of the posts not less than 3 feet (914 mm) above ground. 5. Located not less than 3 feet (914 mm) from the protected object. -Your bollards do not meet the minimum safety requirements set forth by the fire code and shall be replaced with approved vehicle impact protection.
