FIRE STARTED AT FIRST FLOOR CENTER UNIT # 703 IN BATHROOM CEILING FIXTURE AREA; FIRE SPREAD THROUGH COMMON AREA BETWEEN APARTMENTS, UPSTAIRS AND ACROSS. WATER DAMAGE TO 8 UNITS OUT FROM CENTER; FIRE DAMAGE IS LIKELY ALSO TO ALL 8; NOT ALL DAMAGE IS IMMEDIATELY IDENTIFIABLE DUE NEED OF CONTRACTOR EXAMINATION OF COMMON AREA (ELECTRICAL). FIRE DAMAGE IS IMMEDIATELY PRESENT IN SIX UNITS, PARTICULARLY 703, 704, 713, 714, 712; DAMAGE INCLUDES ELECTRICAL, DRYWALL DAMAGE, WOOD AND POSSIBLE STRUCTURAL DAMAGE. ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO THE WEST 8 UNITS IS FED THROUGH THE COMMON AREA; ELECTRIAL NEEDED TO BE SHUTOFF TO UNITS 701-704 AND 713-716. UNITS 705, 706, 711, AND 712 ARE FED THROUGH EAST SIDE OF BUILDING, BUT ALSO WAS SHUTOFF DUE TO LIKELY ELECTRICAL DAMAGE. 707-710 ARE AT THE FAR EAST SIDE OF BUILDING AND DID NOT HAVE ELECTRICAL SERVICE SHUT OFF. TEP WAS ON LOCATION. A TOTAL OF 12 UNITS WERE VACATED DUE TO EITHER DAMAGE AND/OR LACK OF ELECTRICAL-- 3 OF THE UNITS WERE VACANT. JAMES RICHIE OF JARCON CONTRUCTION WAS ON LOCATION AND IS THE CONTRACTOR USED BY MANAGEMENT. MANAGEMENT WILL RELOCATE 8 UNITS. UNIT 703, WHERE THE FIRE STARTED, BECAMETHE SUBJECT OF A TPD INVESTIGATION FOR DRUG AND WEAPONS VIOLATIONS; OCCUPANTS WERE NOT HOME AT TIME OF FIRE, AND WERE UNABLE TO BE CONTACTED. THEY WILL NOT BE PLACED AT THIS TIME. PHOTOS TAKEN, NOV FOR PERMITS AND IDEMIFICATION ISSUED TO MANAGEMENT, AND NOTICES TO VACATE WERE POSTED. BOARDING OF UNITS WAS NOT REQUIRED-- WINDOWS AND DOORS WERE NOT DAMAGED ON ANY UNITS AND WERE ABLE TO BE SECURED. DOCUMENTS WILL BE UPLOADED TO SIRE INCLUDING SITE MAP. LRP
