Car into residential dwelling. Car sturck front entry of home. Small foyer at entry which had a wrought iron security door. Some damage to the masonry at the foyer on both sides of the opening however minor in nature. The energy from the impact was transfered laterally into the door jamb and dislodged the hinge side from it's set at the sole plate. The homeowner's insurance agent arrived and began to organize the immediate needs. He called a contractor to respond immediately. Damage minor enough that permits are not required for restoration. The homeowner was made aware and given a copy of the damage report. No follow up necessary. Case closed. |
