09/14/2010 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved MET WITH T WILLIAMS, CARLOS PORTILLO , MISSY PATTON, AND LA VIDA HOA TO GO OVER NEW FOUR YEAR PLAN TO PAY FOR ENGINEER AND NECESSARY CHANGES NEEDED TO BRING MNO& P INTO COMPLIANCE. WHETHER OR NOT THAT CAN BE DONE WILL BE DETERMINED AT THE NEXT HOA MEETING AT THE ENT OF SEPTEMBER. WILL CONTINUE TO FOLLOW UP ON THE SITUATION.
07/12/2010 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Met with Missy and president of HOA. Reviewed report from engineer who approved the existing shoring to continue for another 3 months. Discussed immediate repairs recommended by engineer including guardrails and exposed wiring for the walkways and repairing the floor joist under bldg E. They agreed to address the immediate repairs within 30 days. They understand the need to do a permanent repair as oulined in the engineer's report.
06/08/2010 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved VISITED MPM MANAGEMENT, SPOKE WITH MISSY PATTON. PRESENTED TO HER A LETTER DRAFTED BY TRACY WILLIAMS ASKING FOR SPECIFIC INFORMATION CONCERNING BALCONIES ATTACHED TO BUILDINGS M,N,O, P AND AN ENGINEERING REPORT FOR BUILDING E. ( SEE INFO IN SIRE)
03/17/2009 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Met with George Stevensen of Structural Concepts at site along with Gerald Goodman, Rick Saldate and members of the HOA. Reviewed the report submitted by the engineer. HOA agreed that they need to do a permanent repair. Will submit for permits in 6 months.
02/23/2009 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved VISITED SITE WITH TRACY WILLIAMS, RICK SALDATE, MYSELF AND ERIC NEWCOMB, ENGINEER FROM D.S.D. MET ONSITE AND WENT OVER PROBLEMS WE HAD FOUND THROUGHOUT BUILDING E. LOOKED INSIDE NORTHEAST APARTMENT AND WENT INSIDE THE UNIT NEXT DOOR TO THE WEST THAT BELONGS TO MR. PIGG. MR PIGG ALLOWED ENTRY AND SHOWED US THE PROBLEMS HE HAD WITH WINDOWS CRACKING AND NOT CLOSING AS WELL AS THE DOORS AND SHOWED US CRACKS IN HIS BEDROOM THAT OPENED UP AS MUCH AS 1-2 INCHES, BUT LATER CLOSED UP WERE NEVER ADDRESSED, PATCHED OR WORKED ON IN ANY WAY. WE REVIEWED THE SETTLING AROUND THE POOL AND GAVE HIM A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL ENGINEERING REPORT. ERIC BASICALLY SUGGESTED WE MOVE FORWARD WITH OUR ENFORCEMENT AND FELT THAT MEETING WITH LA VIDA'S ENGINEERS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND ALL THE PROBLEMS WOULD BE HELPFUL.
*WALKED UNITS M, N, O AND P AND FOUND THAT TEMPORARY SHORING HAD BEEN INSTALLED AT ALL 4 COMPLEXES.
