Tucson, AZ 85747 Dear Mr. Sisk, The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business on August 27, 2008. Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. The 2006 International Fire Code with modifications requires compliance. A Re-inspection will be performed on or about September 12, 2008. 3404.2.7.3.3 Vent pipe outlets. Vent outlets on atmospheric tanks storing Class IIIB liquids are allowed to discharge inside a building if the vent is a normally closed vent. - Normally closed vents shall be installed on the 3 oil tanks or the vents must discharge outside the building. This is also known as a pressure/vacuum style vent. 3404.2.7.4 Emergency venting. Stationary, above-ground tanks shall be equipped with additional venting that will relieve excessive internal pressure caused by exposure to fires. - Emergency venting must be installed. The vents must be the appropriate size for the tank. The tank manufacturer determines the size of vent required and the volume of venting required.
