09/12/2008 INSP - FULL Violation 605.5 Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. You will remove all extension cords in use that do not have a surge protector on it. Power strips with surge protectors are a good option. I found illegal cords in use on front display wall, West wall under guitars and behind amps.

A working space of not less than 30 inches (762 mm) in width, 36 inches (914 mm) in depth and 78 inches (1981 mm) in height shall be provided in front of electrical service equipment. You will remove anything blocking any electrical panels. Blocked panel was found in rear storage near rear exit door.
09/12/2008 INSP - FULL Violation 605.6 Unapproved conditions. Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Place a cover over opening in wall in office, and a face plate over open lightswitch socket on wall in office.
09/12/2008 INSP - FULL Violation 906.7 Hangers and brackets. Hand-held portable fire extinguishers, not housed in cabinets, shall be installed on the hangers or brackets supplied. Hangers or brackets shall be securely anchored to the mounting surface in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. Have your two fire extinguishers mounted to the wall with appropriate hangers.
09/12/2008 INSP - FULL Violation 703.1 Maintenance. The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction shall be maintained. Replace missing ceiling tile in storage room next to amp room.
09/12/2008 INSP - FULL Violation 901.4 Installation. Fire protection systems shall be maintained in accordance with the original installation standards for that system. Have your sprinkler heads in the office and in storage next to amp room placed so there is no hole in the ceilling tile above it. This is a fire resistant barrier that enables the sprinkler head to collect enough heat to activate that head in the event of a fire.
09/12/2008 INSP - FULL Violation 1028.3 Obstructions. A means of egress shall be free from obstructions that would prevent its use, including the accumulation of snow and ice. Keep your exit hallway unblocked all the way to the exit door. Maintain the width of the door in that hallway.
09/12/2008 INSP - FULL Violation 1008.1.8.5 Unlatching. The unlatching of any door or leaf shall not require more than one operation. Remove door anchors that hold bar in place. You may not place a lock on the exit that requires two different operations to open door for exiting.
