Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). ___1. PROBLEM: Orange extension cord used as permanent wiring in back room. TFC REFERENCE: 605.5 Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Plug appliances directly into outlet or use approved GFI power strip. ___2. PROBLEM: Multiplug adapter used in back room. TFC REFERENCE: 605.4 Multiplug adapters. Multiplug adapters, such as cube adapters, unfused plug strips or any other device not complying with the ICC Electrical Code shall be prohibited. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Use approved GFI power strip. ___3. PROBLEM: Need fixture/cover for light in bathroom as well as lights outside on west, east and north side of building. TFC REFERENCE: 605.1 Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have appropriate covers placed on light fixtures. Replace missing or damage fixtures on lights outside. ___4. PROBLEM: Large amount of weeds growing on roof. This is a fire hazard. TFC REFERENCE: 304.1.1 Waste material. Accumulations of wastepaper, wood, hay, straw, weeds, litter or combustible or flammable waste or rubbish of any type shall not be permitted to remain on a roof or in any court, yard, vacant lot, alley, parking lot, open space, or beneath a grandstand, bleacher, pier, wharf, manufactured home, recreational vehicle or other similar structure. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have weeds removed from roof.
