07/29/2008 | INSP - SELF INSPECTION PROGRAM | Approved | 01. Fire extinguishers require an annual inspection / servicing. National Fire Protection Association Standard 10.7.1.2.1. A trained and certified person who has undergone the instructions necessary to reliably perform maintenance and has the manufacturer's service manual shall service the fire extinguishers not more than 1 year apart. 02. The main exit door has a double-key locking device which requires a sign posted saying "THIS DOOR TO REMAINUNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED". The sign shall be in letters 1inch (25 mm). Post a sign. INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE (IFC) 1008.1.8.3. 03. Exit lights/signs are not illuminated. Illuminate the signs. IFC 1011.5.3 Power source. Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times. To ensure continued illumination for a duration of not less than 90 minutes in case of primary power loss, the sign illumination means shall be connected to an emergency power system provided from storage batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator. 22 AUGUST 08 SUSPENSE. |
