This sprinkler system is required under IFC903.2.10.3 (modified) that states: Section 903.2.10.3 Buildings more than two stories. An automatic sprinkler system shall be installed throughout all buildings more than two stories or with a floor level having an occupant load of 30 or more that is located 55 feet or more above the lowest level of fire department vehicle access. Exception: Open parking garages Failure to maintain this system could result in evacuation of the building. In lieu of building evacuation, the following options are available to you; 1). Rent a fire pump. 2). Rent a fire apparatus with pump (this option may require the apparatus to be staffed with approved fire personnel); 3). Fix fire pump. |
