Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications).

___1. PROBLEM: Main exit has double keyed lock. Need sign above door.
TFC REFERENCE: 1008.1.8.3.2.2. Locks and latches. Locks and latches shall be permitted to prevent operation of doors where any of the following exists:A readily visible durable sign is posted on
the egress side on or adjacent to the door stating: THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED. The sign shall be in letters 1 inch (25 mm) high on a contrasting background,
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have above indicated sign placed above door.

___2. PROBLEM: Exit sign above door is not illuminated.
TFC REFERENCE: 1011.2 Illumination. Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Repair exit sign so that it is illuminated.

___3. PROBLEM: Emergency lighting unit does not work.
TFC REFERENCE: 1006.1 Illumination required. The means of egress, including the exit discharge, shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have emergency lighting unit repaired.

___4. PROBLEM: Unapproved extension cord used for beer cooler.
TFC REFERENCE: 605.5 Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Plug appliance directly into outlet or use approved GFI power strip.

___5. PROBLEM: Have wrong kind of fire extinguisher in the kitchen. You need a class K fire extinguisher in conjunction with hood system.
TFC REFERENCE: 904.11.5 Portable fire extinguishers for commercial cooking equipment. Portable fire extinguishers shall be
provided within a 30-foot (9144 mm) travel distance of
commercial-type cooking equipment. Cooking equipment
involving vegetable or animal oils and fats shall be protected
by a Class K rated portable extinguisher.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have red portable fire extinguisher replaced with a class K portable fire extinguisher.

___6. PROBLEM: Barrels outside need to have clearly visible labels indicating their content.
TFC REFERENCE: 407.3 Identification. Individual containers of hazardous materials, cartons or packages shall be marked or labeled in accordance with applicable federal regulations.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Affix clearly visible labels on barrels in back outside.

___7. PROBLEM: Slow cooker venting under hood.
ACTION: Will refer to city mechanical inspector.
