06/16/2008 INSP - FULL Correction Required The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business . Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications).

___1. PROBLEM: Face plate missing on electrical outlet in maintenance room.
TFC REFERENCE: 605.6 Unapproved conditions. Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Replace missing outlet cover.

___2. PROBLEM: Hole in wall in maintenance shop.
TFC REFERENCE: 703.1 Maintenance. The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction (including walls, firestops,
shaft enclosures, partitions, smoke barriers, floors, fire-resistive
coatings and sprayed fire-resistant materials applied to
structural members and fire-resistant joint systems) shall be
maintained. Such elements shall be properly repaired, restored
or replaced when damaged, altered, breached or penetrated.
Openings made therein for the passage of pipes, electrical conduit,
wires, ducts, air transfer openings and holes made for any
reason shall be protected with approved methods capable of
resisting the passage of smoke and fire.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have hole repaired with same fire rated dry wall that has hole in it.

___3. PROBLEM: Attic hatch missing in ceiling in maintenance shop.
TFC REFERENCE: See above ref. 703.1.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Replace missing attic hatch door.

___4. PROBLEM: Damaged outside electrical outlet across from pool chemical storage.
TFC REFERENCE: 605.1 Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of
the code official responsible for enforcement of the ICC Electrical
Code. Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other
equipment that is modified or damaged and constitutes an electrical
shock or fire hazard shall not be used.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have qualified individual repair damaged outlet.

___5. PROBLEM: Front door of office has double keyed lock. Needs sign above door indicating that door should remain unlocked while building is occupied.
TFC REFERENCE: 1008.1.8.3 Locks and latches. Locks and latches shallbe permitted to prevent operation of doors where any of
the following exists: 2.2. A readily visible durable sign is posted on
the egress side on or adjacent to the door stating: THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED. The sign shall be in letters 1 inch (25 mm) high on a contrasting background,
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have required sign affixed above office front exit.

___6. PROBLEM: Grill on balcony of unit 8102
TFC REFERENCE: See attached sheet on Resisential Barbecues.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Grill shall be removed from balcony.
