Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). ___1.PROBLEM: Main entrance with double key lock needs sign above door indicating that the door is to remain unlocked while building is occupied. TFC REFERENCE: 1008.1.8.3.2.2. A readily visible durable sign is posted on the egress side on or adjacent to the door stating: THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED. The sign shall be in letters 1 inch (25 mm) high on a contrasting background. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have above indicated sign placed above door. ___2. PROBLEM: Brown extension cord leading to Icee sign. TFC REFERENCE: 605.5 Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Plug appliance directly into outlet or into an approved power strip with a GFI. ___3. PROBLEM: Fan motor in bathroom needs cover plate. TFC REFERENCE: 605.1 Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have fan motor repaired and cover plate replaced. ___4. PROBLEM: Storage in front of electrical panel blocking access to panels. TFC REFERENCE: 605.3Working space and clearance. A working space of not less than 30 inches (762 mm) in width, 36 inches (914 mm) in depth and 78 inches (1981 mm) in height shall be provided in front of electrical service equipment. Where the electrical service equipment is wider than 30 inches (762 mm), the working space shall not be less than the width of the equipment. No storage of any materials shall be located within the designated working space. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Keep area around electrical panel clear so that access will not be hindered.
