Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). ___1. PROBLEM: Possible live electrical wires exposed from shelter above fuel pumps. TUCSON FIRE CODE REFERENCE: 605.6 Unapproved conditions. Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Electrical hazards shall be abated. __2. PROBLEM: Orange extension cord behind coffe maker. TUCSON FIRE CODE REFERENCE: 605.5 Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Remove extension cord. May use approved GFI power strip. ___3. PROBLEM: Multiplug adapter in sink room is dangling by plugs. TUCSON FIRE CODE REFERENCE: 605.4.3 Installation. Relocatable power tap cords shall not extend through walls, ceilings, floors, under doors or floor coverings, or be subject to environmental or physical damage. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Secure power strip to wall. ___4. PROBLEM: Exit sign above bathroom points to non required and non functioning exit. TUCSON FIRE CODE REFERENCE:901.4.4Appearance of equipment. Any device that has the physical appearance of life safety or fire protection equipment but that does not perform that life safety or fire protection function, shall be prohibited. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Remove exit sign above bathroom. ___5. PROBLEM: Emergency gas shut off sign is partially obscured/damaged. TUCSON FIRE CODE REFERENCE: 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Sign for emergency fuel shut off shall be clearly readable.
