04/08/2008 INSP - FULL Violation 1). Currently there are many LPG bottles awaiting use stored adjacent to wooden pallets. This combustible and all combustible material shall be removed and no combustible material shall be stored in the vicinity of flammable gas storage. IFC 304.2
2). Fire sprinkler test and inspection report shall be submitted, and all required repairs shall be completed. IFC 901.6
3). Fire alarm test report shall be completed and all repairs shall be completed. IFC 901.6
4). Fire pump test re[ort shall be submitted and all repairs shall be completed. IFC 901.6
5). Emergency generator log shall be submitted showing test operations of generators. IFC 604.3.2
6). Repair wall in west tower electrical room with rated material. IFC 703.1
7). West tower. Reduce combustible material (filters and boxes) in mech. room in west tower. IFC 315.2.3. Theses rooms are meant for storage.
8). The self closures in the following linen doors are not working and shall be repaired. . West 8th floor, 2nd floor S/4 door, eats tower 5 th floor., 7th floor west,IFC 703.2
Please ensure that ALL linen doors are self-closing and self closures are maintained.. IFC 703.
9). Air handler rooms. All air handler rooms shall be free of plastics, cardboards, paper and all other combustible material. These rooms serve the ventilation of the entire complex and must be free from all smoke producing materials.
The fire codes states:
315.2.3 Equipment rooms. Combustible material shall not be stored in boiler rooms, mechanical rooms or electrical equipment rooms.
All air handlers rooms shall be free from these materials all will be open for reinspection on reinspection date.


In addition: the 6th floor electrical vault, (trash can) shall be removed.

10). In the elevator landing areas, NO combustible material shall be stored. This includes, magazines, bedding beds, towels. Shall be reinspected. IFC 315.2.3
11). West towers 4th floor electrical vault shall have required fire stopping, S/4 electrical room, . IFC 703.1
12). Sig. Kitchen: remove combustible material from around office. IFC 605.3 Move 30 inches from panels.
13). All kitchen hood-extinguishing systems shall follow the following fire code:
904.11.6.4 Extinguishing system service. Automatic fire-extinguishing systems shall be serviced at least every 6 months and after activation of the system. Inspection shall be by qualified individuals, and a certificate of inspection shall be forwarded to the fire code official upon completion.

Currently hoods system dates are October 2007. This is past 6 months.
Hood extinguishing systems shall be serviced, immediately.
14). Caps on hood systems nozzles shall always be kept on nozzles. IFC 904.11.6
15). Remove chairs from blocking exit from Sig kitchen. IFC 1028.3
16). Sig kitchen: All rated doors shall be closed or provided with an approved method for keeping door open. IFC 703.2.2
17). 1st floor S/1 elevator: Repairs both square holes. IFC 703.1
18). 6th floor east tower: Remove all combustible material from enclosed stair ways. IFC 1028.3
19). All doors to elevator landings shall ALWAYS be kept closed. Numerous were open. IFC 703.2.2
20. Please ensure all pool entrance gates are closed at all times. River pool was found left open during inspection.
