Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). ___1. PROBLEM: Wiring exposed in light fixture in store room. TFC REFERENCE: 605.1 Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Put proper covering on light fixture to cover exposed wires. ___2. PROBLEM: Combustible materials around base of water heater. TFC REFERENCE:305.1 Clearance from ignition sources. Clearance between ignition sources, such as luminaires, heaters, flame-producing devices and combustible materials, shall be maintained in an approved manner. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Keep base of water heater clear of cumbustible materials. ___3. PROBLEM: Holes in walls in back office and door missing from attic. TFC REFERENCE: 703.1 Maintenance. The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction (including walls, firestops, shaft enclosures, partitions, smoke barriers, floors, fire-resistive coatings and sprayed fire-resistant materials applied to structural members and fire-resistant joint systems) shall be maintained. Such elements shall be properly repaired, restored or replaced when damaged, altered, breached or penetrated. Openings made therein for the passage of pipes, electrical conduit, wires, ducts, air transfer openings and holes made for any reason shall be protected with approved methods capable of resisting the passage of smoke and fire. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Repair holes with properly rated drywall and replace attic door. ___4. PROBLEM: Exit light above rear entrance not lit. TFC REFERENCE: 1011.2 Illumination. Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have exit sign repaired so that it is illuminated. ___5. PROBLEM: Address not visible from street. TFC REFERENCE: 505.1 Address numbers. (cot mod) New and existing buildings shall have approved address numbers, building numbers or approved building identification placed in a position that is plainly legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property. Address numbers shall be in accordance with Pima County address display requirements. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have address numbers placed in visible location in compliance with the fire code. safety.
