Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). ___1. PROBLEM: Certificate of Occupancy not posted or available for inspection. TFC REFERENCE: 105.3.5 Posting the permit. Issued permits shall be kept on the premises designated therein at all times and shall be readily available for inspection by the fire code official. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Locate Certificate of Occupancy and post. ___2. PROBLEM: Double keyed main entrance needs a sign above door. TFC REFERENCE: 2.2. A readily visible durable sign is posted on the egress side on or adjacent to the door stating: THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED. The sign shall be in letters 1 inch (25 mm) high on a contrasting background, REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have sign affixed above main entrance as outlined in the code reference above. ___3. PROBLEM: Exit sign above door is not lit. TFC REFERENCE: 1011.2 Illumination. Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have exit sign repaired so it is illuminated. ___4. PROBLEM: Fire extinguishers discharged and on floor in back room. TFC REFERENCE: 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have fire extinguishers serviced and place on brackets. ___5. PROBLEM: Electric panel in back room blocked with storage. TFC REFERENCE:605.3Working space and clearance. A working space of not less than 30 inches (762 mm) in width, 36 inches (914 mm) in depth and 78 inches (1981 mm) in height shall be provided in front of electrical service equipment. Where the electrical service equipment is wider than 30 inches (762 mm), the working space shall not be less than the width of the equipment. No storage of any materials shall be located within the designated working space. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Keep electrical panel clear as indicated above for Fire Dept access. ___6. PROBLEM: Combustibles stored around water heater. TFC REFERENCE: 305.1 Clearance from ignition sources. Clearance between ignition sources, such as luminaires, heaters, flame-producing devices and combustible materials, shall be maintained in an approved manner. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Keep area around base of water heater clear of storage. ___7. PROBLEM: Outside light fixture on front overhang is damaged. TFC REFERENCE: 605.1 Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Light fixture shall be repaired by a qualified individual.
