Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). ___1. PROBLEM: Orange extension cord leading to power strip on band stand and extension cord powering T.V. over bar. TFC REFERENCE: 605.5 Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Appliances must be plugged directly into an electrical outlet or into an approved GFI power strip. ___2. PROBLEM: Exit off patio has slide bolt securing both doors. TFC REFERENCE: 1008.1.8.4 Bolt locks. Manually operated flush bolts or surface bolts are not permitted. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Upper and lower slide bolts on the one door are acceptable, but middle slide bolt must be removed. ___3. PROBLEM: Open light socket in men's room and outside of men's room. TFC REFERENCE: 605.6 Unapproved conditions. Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Put proper light bulbs in sockets or socket covers. ___4. PROBLEM: Use of power cube in office and to blender behind bar. TFC REFERENCE: 605.4 Multiplug adapters. Multiplug adapters, such as cube adapters, unfused plug strips or any other device not complying with the ICC Electrical Code shall be prohibited. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Remove power cubes and use power strip or plug appliance directly into outlet. ___5. PROBLEM: Unsecured gas canister by office. TFC REFERENCE: 3003.5.3 Securing compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks. Compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks shall be secured to prevent falling caused by contact, vibration or seismic activity. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Properly secure gas canister by office. ___6. PROBLEM: Portable fire extinguisher by office is in empty range and was last serviced 12/03. Portable fire extinguisher behind bar was last serviced 12/03. They are required to be serviced every year. TFC REFERENCE: 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have portable fire extinguishers serviced by qualified professional. ___7. PROBLEM: electrical cord behind liquor rack spliced together then leading through wall to ? TFC REFERENCE: 605.1 Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. AND: 605.5 Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls... REQUIRED CORRECTION: Remove spliced electrical cord and do not pass cords through walls. ___8. PROBLEM: Certificate of Occupancy not posted or available for viewing. TFC REFERENCE: 105.3.5 Posting the permit. Issued permits shall be kept on the premises designated therein at all times and shall be readily available for inspection by the fire code official. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Certificate of Occupancy shall be available on the premises for fire code official to inspect.
