Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). ___1. PROBLEM: Cube adapter used under cash register TFC REFERENCE: 605.4 Multiplug adapters. Multiplug adapters, such as cube adapters, unfused plug strips or any other device not complying with the ICC Electrical Code shall be prohibited. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Plug appliances directly into outlet or use approved power strip. ___2. PROBLEM: Secure power strip behind the desk. TFC REFERENCE: 605.4.3 Installation. Relocatable power tap cords shall not extend through walls, ceilings, floors, under doors or floor coverings, or be subject to environmental or physical damage. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Secure power strip so that it is not hanging by weight of plugs. ___3. PROBLEM: Certificate of Occupancy not posted. TFC REFERENCE: 105.3.5 Posting the permit. Issued permits shall be kept on the premises designated therein at all times and shall be readily available for inspection by the fire code official. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have C of O Posted for inspection by fire official. ___4. PROBLEM: Make sure sliding gate on outside exit is locked in open position to prevent inadvertant closing and/or locking thus preventing unobstructed exit. TFC REFERENCE: 1003.6 Means of egress continuity. The path of egress travel along a means of egress shall not be interrupted by any building element other than a means of egress component as specified in this chapter. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Sliding door on outside gate shall be locked in open position while building is occupied.
