Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). ___1. PROBLEM: Fire extinguisher in office store room has no service tag. TFC REFERENCE:901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Nonrequired fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have fire extinguisher serviced or remove from premises. ___2. PROBLEM: Combustibles around base of water heater. TFC REFERENCE: 305.1 Clearance from ignition sources. Clearance between ignition sources, such as luminaires, heaters, flame-producing devices and combustible materials, shall be maintained in an approved manner. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Keep areas around base of water heaters in pool equipment room clear of drywall or other combustible materials. ___3. PROBLEM: Some build up of lint behind dryers in pool equipment room. TFC REFERENCE: Section 316.2 Clothes dryers.(cot mod) Clothes dryers shall be frequently cleaned to maintain the lint trap and mechanical and heating components free from excessive accumulations of lint. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Keep area behind dryers swept and free of lint build up. ___4. PROBLEM: There appears to be a grill on a balcony in building 5. TFC REFERENCE: See attached handout. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Grill must not be used on balcony. If there is an attached propane tank it must be stored in a nondwelling unit.
