Did random spot inspection of 8 rooms, including room 201. All had functioning, hard-wired smoke detectors with battery back-up. Also spot inspected laundry/pool area and found no violations. Will follow up with full inspection on March 4. Manager, Peter Patel (747-1440) stated many smoke detectors get removed by visitors and did recall replacing Rm 201, specifically and finding the old one on closet shelf in room. Followed up with call to Mrs. Bingham (4:45pm, 2-28-08) |

Complaint came from Mrs Bingham (928 242 8554), a patron of the Days Inn. Said her room was flooded, bugs, etc -- main issue for FD is that smoke alarms and fire alert strobes were missing from walls. Mrs Bingham spoke with other patrons who had the same findings in their rooms. (Bingham was in room 201. Requests a call after inspection.) |
